I'm sure the seniors are still rather confused as to whether you all can qualify or not.... here's to clear things up.....

Results so far. (only results tat's significant are being mentioned. eg, all sngs results nth to say)
AMKSS wins EVG. 3-2.
AMKSS wins SJC. 3-2.
1S: 3-1.
1D: 3-2
2S: 3-2
2D: 2-3
3S: 0-3.
so SJC's games win ratio is.... 11:11

SJC wins EVG: 4-1.

so is there still a chance for SJC to qualify?
YES
but there's 3 criterias tat muz be fulfilled...
1) CCSS to win AMKSS. preferably by a small margin. eg 3-2
2) SJC to win CCSS. preferably by a BIG margin. eg 4-1, 5-0.
3) EVG MUST lose all schools.

let's discuss why the 3rd criteria is impt. IF, EVG managed to win one sch out of the 4 in question (SJC, AMKSS, CCSS, EVG)
out of these 4 schools,

there'll be 2 schools with 2 WIN 1 LOSS
and there'll be 2 schools with 1 WIN 2 LOSS

so since AMKSS already had 2 WINS, SJC muz be the other sch with 2 WINS.

in this situation, the winner between these 2 schs will advance. tat'll be AMKSS.
we dun wan tat of course.

and let's say all 3 criterias are satisfied, where CCSS wins AMKSS, SJC wins CCSS, AMKSS wins SJC.

these 3 schools, juz between them, each school will have 1 WIN 1 LOSS.
the school to advance will hence be decided by the individual match ratio.
hence CCSS muz win AMKSS by a small margin, and we win CCSS by a BIGGER margin.

eg:
AMKSS wins SJC 3-2.
CCSS wins AMKSS 3-2.
SJC wins CCSS 4-1.

AMKSS: matches win ratio: 5:5
CCSS: matches win ratio: 4:6
SJC: matches win ratio: 6:4
SJC advance.

wat if all 3 schs win each other 3-2?
then the individual number of sets won will be considered... tat's a bigger calculations, which we'll skip tat. juz know tat every set won/lost is impt.

so..... to the issue of..... wat was being talked about on the bus ride back..... u all noe urself la....

reason: we caught a little bit of CCSS's skill.... which was rather uncomforting at 1st glance... most would feel they stand no chance to win AMKSS.... hence the topic on the bus.

but, after u all left.... i was watching another boy of mine play his match.... but i take frequent glance back at CCSS against SNGS match.... its against SNGS... NOT mayflower.... (mayflower isn't in our group)

i saw some scores..... guess wat... it looked better than our scores against SNGS, AMKSS's scores against SNGS.... well of course i may be wrong, since i'm not watching all the time....

i watched some of them play... it might seems unspectacular... but it's certainly effective.... effective enough for the girls kind of game.

so would CCSS sure lose AMK? i don't think so.....

i muz emphasize though tat i'm NOT aware of CCSS's full standard, and AMKSS's full standard as well... (i wasn't watching....) so i can't really make an accurate guage.... i only know both school's coaches and their coaching ability.... which i'd say CCSS's coach better.....

BUT

in table tennis, anything is possible, especially in team events. strong teams playing badly.... weak teams playing strongly.... it happens. it hapens often... significantly often... i'm sure u all can quote examples urselves....

so after so much long-winded rubbish.... conclusion?

nothing is concluded yet.

its not confirmed tat SJC is going out, its not confirmed tat AMKSS is going in. it still depends on the remaining matches.... namely:

SJC vs CCSS, TUESDAY 13th Feb, 2.15pm.
(SJC muz win, preferably by big margin)

EVG vs CCSS, TUESDAY 13th Feb 3.30pm.
(EVG muz lose...)

AMK vs CCSS, THURSDAY 15th Feb 2.15pm.
(CCSS muz win, by a smaller margin than SJC winning CCSS)

so..... perk up, its not confirmed over yet.... WIN tat match against CCSS big.... and keep our fingers crossed....

stay positive, for only with strong positive thoughts, miracles can happen....

trust me on this... i've witnessed miracles right b4 my eyes to believe this....
